When you think of someone who is passionate what comes to mind? Possibly someone dressed in their favorite team colors, holding a huge sign, yelling at the top of their lungs, “GO TEAM!” However, to be zealous for good works looks completely different.
Zeal for good works is a picture of someone who is enthusiastic about the things of God. Picture someone who pursues excellence, whose only concern is God’s glory and God’s Kingdom being furthered.
When we realize all God has done for us and the actions He took to make us special and set apart, we should respond with passion for a God honoring life that serves. Set your heart on things that will point people to the One you are zealous for!
Titus 2:14, “who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.”
