It’s exciting to see the kids so ready for summer break. The opportunity to sleep in is always a winner for most of those teenagers looking to get caught up on rest. However, the summer offers much more than late nights and 11:00 am alarms. There will be opportunity to get involved with some great activities of service! By showing compassion to someone who needs a blessing could be the very thing that lifts them spiritually!

I want to encourage not only the kids, but also the adults to step up and serve. The soup kitchen will bless your heart and give you an opportunity to the hands and feet of Jesus! To love as He loved and serve as He served is the ultimate goal of a true disciple. So let me encourage you, do not take the summer off from loving God and our neighbors! Be a servant!

Matt 25:40, “And the King will answer them, ‘I assure you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me.’”
