You’ve heard this statement, “If I walked into that church, the roof would fall in!” In jest, it’s possible that you’ve made that statement about someone. The problem is it insinuates that the person’s sinful life is just too big for God to handle.
However, as you study scripture, you’ll find that Almighty God can forgive any person of any sin, it doesn’t matter how bad you think it is. I shared Sunday about God forgiving sin because Jesus stretched His arms out on the cross to die. The Psalmist said, God loves us so much that He not only forgives us, but He also removes our sin as far as the east is from the west! That kind of love can’t truly be measured by our human abilities.
It’s an amazing text. God really does love you! God really does forgive your sin! So, get busy living a life that honors God. Stop reminiscing about past failures and sins. Trust God complete forgive you and stop worrying about falling roofs!
Psalm 103:11-12, “For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His steadfast love toward those who fear Him; as far as the east is from the west, so far does He remove our transgressions from us.”
