Well friends, it’s that time of year to honor our mothers! There’s a Mother’s Day card that, on the front, reads: “Mom, I remember that little prayer you used to say for me every day.” When opened it reads: “God help you if you ever do that again!” It seems like I remember hearing something like that a few times for one thing or another. Once I ran through the screen door (without opening it), another time I knocked a tail light on my aunt’s car; I’ll stop with those two, I don’t want you to think I was a bad kid! Sunday is that wonderful day when we celebrate our moms and the priceless role they play in our lives.

Moms, it’s never been harder to be a parent. And because parenting is so crucial, God has certain truth from Scripture that are significant for raising children. I want to share some principles from 127 Psalm concerning mother’s role in a child’s life: 1. You should dedicated your home to God. 2. You must trust God to provide your needs. 3. Recognize that your children are a blessing from God. 4. You should prepare them to make a difference.

As hard as it is in today’s society to raise children, God’s word is unchanging and still applies today! Join us at FBC Henderson Sunday as we have “Muffins with Moms” and then discuss these biblical truths to raising children. I hope to see you here, and don’t forget to let your mother know who much you love her!

“Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it…” Psalm 127:1
