Have you ever been in a situation when entering a room full of people and no one says “hello,” but as soon as you head for the door everyone turns to you and says “good-bye!” It’s one of those moments where everyone hates to see you come but they love to see you leave. All joking aside, it could be heartbreaking if it actually happened to someone.

Good-bye isn’t the subject of this post. Instead, Isaiah foretold a “Hello” that would change the world! The most wonderful “Hello” in history! He spoke of the time when God Himself would say “Hello” to the human race in the incarnation of Jesus Christ. Being God in the flesh, He stepped down out of the glories of heaven making His entrance into this world via a manger. In that event God became “with us” (Immanuel) in a way He never had been before. Allow this fact of history to inspire you to anticipate Jesus’ birth this Christmas and celabrate it for what it is, “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!” HIS-STORY!

“Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.” Isaiah 7:14
