Have you become complacent and or lost interest in church? I ask because God’s Church, His people, doesn’t seem to be paying very close attention to what He has to say about His Bride (She is forgiven, sanctified, powerful, and loved)! Hear me out before you begin bashing the preacher! Statistics show that as many as 88 to 92% of churches (local gathers) are in decline! That should bring you to tears. It certainly breaks my heart! WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?
We can and have blamed the decline of the church on the former pastor leaving to go to a new ministry, conflicts that have resulted in church splits, or the new pastor changing things; however, the truth is, we all play a part! My question to you is what are we going to do about changing that trend HERE? How can you and I work together to further God’s Kingdom HERE?
Over the following weeks I will share a series of messages to challenge you concerning God’s Bride! I hope to sharpen your sword, challenge your heart, and change your mind about what God has called HIs church to do! My greatest goal is to motivate and encourage you to rekindle that burning desire to get involved. My prayer is that we be willing to do whatever it takes to turn our church and this community around, working together to further God’s Kingdom!
